This week's artist is an up & coming singer/ songwriter taking over the Indie neo-soul pop fusion sound. With Nigerian roots & growing up in Pittsburgh's inner city Joy decided to attend the University of Pittsburgh before graduating and giving up her job in 2006 to pursue her music career full-time.
Coupled with other personal tradgedies Joy has mastered and crafted her sound to an extremely high and pleasant quality. Already with comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Alicia Keys, Ike cites Sufjan Stevens as one of her major influences.
